Last news for Year 6.
What a final few weeks Year 6 have had at Primary School! The production was incredible! The children were an absolute asset to you all. Some very talented individuals who we would not be surprised to see on the big stage one day. We put on three shows in total: one for the school as a dress rehearsal and two after-school performances for the adults. Some of the comments we heard were 'worthy of The West End' and 'I couldn't believe how good it was'. As staff, we were immensely proud of them all for their hard work and talents. We had a trip to The Three Horshoes bowls club at Shephallbury Park where we enjoyed using real woods to hit the small 'jack' and even cheered on the teaching staff as they had a go. Lastly, as an end-of-year treat the Year 6s had a water gun fight. The children had a lovely time and got very wet. However, as an extra surprise, using the remainder of the Enterprise money that the children raised from the Summer Fete, the staff organised an Ice Cream Van to arrive during the water fight and supply each chip with an ice cream or ice lolly. What a way to end the week. With the last two days to come (which I'm sure will be full of hugs and tears) the children are looking forward to the end of a special year and their graduation ceremony. Well done Year 6. What an awesome journey!
