What an amazing first week Year 1 have had learning all about our new topic Pirates! Pirate Pete left us a map with clues around the school so we could find his treasure. Then we had dressed up in hats and eye patches and had a swashbuckling sword fight with Mr Moran! Finally, using all our design technology skills, we created pirate ships that were able to sail the seven seas. A few ships were lost along the way, but we had great fun and are excited to learn more over the coming weeks about our favourite Pirate Grace O'Malley.
