    Year 1 have had a busy week, in science we explored what it would be like if we couldn't see. We learnt to write our name in braille, played with an adapted chess board and practised simple activities using our sense of touch to help us. We then had our Fantastic Finish where our grown ups helped us to make moving Ambulances -it was great fun racing them around the hall! To carry on our learning about we had a Paramedic visit us, she showed us her uniform and brought lots of interesting equipment for us to look at an explore. At Roebuck we are Scientists!

  • Busy time in Year 1

    This week in Year 1 we have been busy writing our own Pinocchio stories. We have also been watching bread develop mould in the name of science! We know that Alexander Flemming made a life changing discovery due to this accidental finding. We have also been learning about measures and have been practising using standard and non standard measures to measure size and mass. We enjoyed the pantomime and today we are celebrating science week with a biscuit investigation. What a busy week!
