Year 1 have had a busy few weeks getting ready for the coronation. We created a portrait of King Charles in an abstract style, followed by some sparkly crowns to wear to the coronation party. We had lots of fun dancing, singing and eating all afternoon! 

In literacy we have begun our non-fiction report on Pirates and spent a morning experiencing life on a ship. The children scrubbed the decks, tied up the ropes and kept watch with their telescopes for ships to raid. Even though it was tough, they all worked hard as no one wanted to walk the plank! At Roebuck we are Pirates! ARRRRR!
