In Year Five we have had a very busy but fun week. For example, we have been focusing in Science on how day and night works, so we had a basketball with blue tack and a Lego figure and stuck the figure where you thought England was. Then we had to spin the basketball around our partner and walk around them. This showed the Earth  orbiting and rotating around the sun. Also In Science we learnt how the sun makes shadows. We also used a pole and we marked the shadow every hour to see how it had changed. In computing we have made our own video game using 2DIY3D.

We have also had a lot of assessments this week including 3x maths and one comprehension. We have had a bit of a school trip this week as well because we went to Longmeadow Church. We were learning about the Easter story, we got to plant our own sunflowers and we got to fill out a booklet. We also had the choice to wash our feet or wash our hands if we wanted to.  This showed how kind Jesus was because he washed his disciples’ feet.
