Latest news in Year 5

Recently, in Year 5, we had our Masterchef day where we had to make a dish as part of a three-course meal involving mushrooms, minced beef and pineapple. We learnt how to slice food items using the claw and bridge cut, grate using a box and hand grater and peel and crush garlic. We were also visited by Amanda, the artist who helped us design some micro photography scenes based on work by Slinkachu. He is very famous for putting his mini figures in different places for people to find using everyday objects. We enjoyed creating our own places to put the mini figures and use a macro lens to take a picture of our creation. In addition to this, we have had sports day. We took part in many different activities, such as the running race, Grand National and the duck game. Lastly, we were able to take a sneak peek at the Year 6's production as a whole school and was wowed by their performance.
