30 hour Nursery Provision at Roebuck
We are very proud of our lovely Nursery setting and we are sure your child will make a fantastic start to their education here!
30 hour Nursery Provision
Historically, Nursery aged children have been entitled to 15 hours of Free Early Education. This will continue with daily provision available from 9am-Midday for your child.
However, from September 2019 our Nursery offers 30 hours of high quality Free Early Education, subject to eligibility. The 30 hours free childcare is designed to help working families by reducing the cost of childcare and to support parents into work or to work more hours, should they wish to do so. We believe that the additional time in our setting will also help to further develop your child’s readiness for Reception.
Should you wish to take advantage of this, our Nursery will offer 30 hours of high quality early education between the hours of 9am and 3pm. Monday to Friday Lunchtime will operate during the day between 12pm and 1pm. You will be requested to provide your child with a packed lunch. School provides a snack in the morning at no extra cost to yourselves. School will also provide a snack of fruit and milk/water in the afternoon should your child stay on for these additional hours.
Please note that we run separate morning and afternoon sessions on a full time basis (i.e. attending for half the day, all week).
Your child will be allocated to either morning or afternoon if your application is successful - We do not currently offer flexible part time places.
We are also offer full time places to parents in receipt of the government's 30 hours funding. For more information and to find out if you are eligible visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
Nursery admissions are managed by the school. Places are in high demand for our Nursery setting.
Nursery Tours and applications for 2019 /2020 are now open. Yo can book onto a tour through the main school office. Please book early as spaces are filling quickly.
Our Early Years team is led by Mrs Sue Prosser who is an outstanding Early Years teacher as well as being one of Roebuck's Assistant Headteacher's. Sue knows our children well and places their needs and interests at the very centre of all that she and her team does. Our children settle extremely well and enjoy their learning at Roebuck. Above all they feel nurtured, happy and confident.
Our learning environment is amazing and boasts an incredibly large and well-resourced outdoor provision which our children love.
We do suggest you book onto a tour where Sue will be able to answer any questions that you may have.
