Parent Support

We know how important it is that the school works with parents to help them fully support their child with their learning. At Roebuck, we have an open door policy and we value parents coming in to speak to staff and telling us where they feel support is needed. This may be with maths, English, speech and language, behaviour, health or even for pastoral support. We meet regularly with parents and hold workshops, family learning and structured conversations that help enable us to work together to ensure all children reach their full potential. To get a feel for the sort of work that we do, please see our Reaching Your Potential newsletters.

We are proud to be a school that has the Leading Parent Partnership Award. We hold termly Parent Forums so that we can chat informally to parents to find out how to make the school better. This is also a chance for parents to tell us how we can help with supporting them to help their children at home. Every week, we also run a Home Learning club after school where teachers are on hand to help children with Home Learning but also to help parents help their children.

On the right, there are various links. There are documents and resources which may help parents know more about how to get the best from their child. Plesae do take a look. Please also remember, that parents can pop in at any time and ask any member of staff how we do something, what something means or what the next step might be for their child to make even more progress.
